Green Tour: new incentives for the redevelopment of tourist accommodation

What the Green Tour Fund provides

The Green Tour Fund makes 109 million euro available, of which 59 million as non-repayable grants and 50 million through subsidised loans. 60% of the resources are earmarked for SMEs, with a share reserved for small and micro enterprises.

The measure funds investment programmes of between 1 and 15 million euro, in which works aimed at energy efficiency and energy production from renewable sources must account for at least 51% of eligible investment.

Which works can be funded

Eligible works include, for example, upgrading the building envelope, replacing windows and doors, thermal insulation, ventilated façades, the energy upgrading of swimming pools, spas and wellness areas, as well as the installation of photovoltaic, solar thermal and geothermal systems, heat pumps and storage systems.

These main works can be accompanied by complementary investments linked to digitalisation, automation and intelligent consumption metering systems, together with other works provided for by the measure.

A project that must already be concrete

Green Tour is particularly interesting from a design standpoint too: the assessment of applications takes into account, among other elements, the buildability of the project, the sustainability of the investment plan and the relevance and appropriateness of the planned expenditure.

For hotels, resorts, agriturismi and other accommodation already considering a redevelopment, it therefore becomes important to check the state of the project quickly and understand which works could fall within the investment programme.

Our role

LATO51 can support businesses with the technical and design side of the work, from the preliminary check of the property to the definition of the project, coordinating the architectural works with those required for the energy upgrading of the building.

For the aspects relating to the application and subsidised finance, the studio works with specialist consultants, so that the project, the call requirements and the investment plan are aligned from the very beginning.

Preparing a strong application takes time: a defined project, consistent quotations and the necessary authorisations. If 30 September is now too close for your property, the best way to be eligible for the calls opening in 2027 is to start preparing a concrete project now.
