Osteria Tastè

Architecture as collective memory: the former primary school in the hamlet of Tre Stelle, in Barbaresco. A project that sets out to preserve and celebrate the memory of a building by putting people centre stage. It evokes the spirit of the place through images and objects that recall the theme of school, but above all through the testimony of those who lived within its walls. The photographs displayed on the walls were gathered from local residents who had attended the school as children. The restoration respects the style of the period: 1940s tiles are set alongside contemporary elements such as the iron flooring and the wall coverings.
